Emilio Pérsico Calls for Protests Against Government

The leader of the Evita Movement, Emilio Pérsico, recalled his friendship and collaboration with Norma Plá in the resistance against Cavallo's economic model, highlighting her importance for subsequent political processes. In a radio interview, he expressed his criticism of Javier Milei's government, calling for social mobilization as a means to defeat this economic and political model.

Pérsico emphasized Norma Plá's figure as a symbol of resistance at that time and underscored the need for social and political struggle to transform reality. He pointed out that mobilizations in the streets, with strikes and conflicts, are the way to achieve significant changes. This resistance, according to Pérsico, paved the way for the emergence of the political project led by Néstor and Cristina Kirchner.

The leader emphasized the discontent of various social sectors regarding the policies of the current government and advocated for intensifying street protests as a form of pressure. Pérsico, a former member of Montoneros with experience in international conflicts, mentioned the importance of civil protest, even in circumstances of political repression.

Emilio Pérsico recalled the struggle of retirees led by Norma Plá during Domingo Cavallo's administration, highlighting the example they represent for society.
